Be Grateful
Most days can feel like too much. We carry around a long to-do list that never seems to get shorter. We worry about the people in our lives and shift from one role to the next, winding up exhausted before lunch time.
Pause for a minute. Breathe. Think of one thing you are grateful for today.
I have made a personal habit to think of Mary. Mary as a wife. Mary as a mother. Mary as a daughter. Mary as a friend. Mary generously saying yes and giving herself to her community. How she, filled with so much grace, might have gone through her day, her chores, her interactions. And I ask her to intercede for me. That I too, may choose to go about each day filled with joy, clearly seeing all the little blessings and opportunities to give and receive love.
