Read
Here are some of my works published as books, in a literary journal and magazines. I hope to add to the children’s book category in the coming years!
Like everything else, it’s work in progress, and I am determined to enjoy the journey every step of the way.
Illustrated by: The Tree on a Hill, 2022
Written by Antoinette Begre-Lacson and illustrated by me. This charming poem was fun to illustrate and features endemic animals rescued and protected by Talarak Foundation in Bacolod. I learned a lot about our beautiful and exotic wildlife from such a dedicated animal lover and friend, Antoinette. I hope this book reaches more children so they too can learn more about our local furry friends.
Written and Illustrated by: Little Api and the Strong Wind – coming soon
This is a project by the Lopez Foundation in an effort to spread awareness about our local trees. It is about a mangrove seedling and its role in our diverse ecosystem. I loved working on this because it highlights so many of the amazing treasures growing on our land.
Story contribution: Goldy and the Bears, Luna Journal, 2022
This is a pandemic twist on a well-known fairytale that holds more truth than fiction. It was chosen as an entry for the first publication of Luna Journal launched last year.
Palanca 2nd Place Story for Children, 2011: Tatay, Through Wind and Waves
This was my first attempt at getting published. It was a huge task to depict a perspective of an OFW seafarer family and an even more daunting task to live up to the accolade.
